About Us

Oleksandr Klymenko

Oleksandr is both a Massage Therapist and an Osteopathic Manual Practioner. He is registered with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario, Registered Massage Therapists’ Association of Ontario and the Ontario Federation of Osteopathic Professionals. His goal is to facilitate healing and wellness by helping the body to be more structurally aligned by practising massage and osteopathy in adults, infants and children.

Oleksandr is knowledgeable in various techniques of massage and osteopathic therapies, including neuromuscular techniques, orthopaedic massage, myofascial release techniques, craniosacral therapy, visceral therapy and manual lymphatic drainage. He specializes in treating back pain, frozen shoulders, knee pain, headaches, migraines, dizziness, nausea, digestive problems (IBS, Crohn`s disease, gastro intestinal), respiratory problems, peripheral nerve problems (sciatic pain, thoracic outlet syndrome, carpal tunnel syndrome) irritability, and problems of balance to name a few.

He has extensive knowledge of anatomy, body structure, and function of the human body. This enables him to provide his clients with feedback about their body and how to improve their well being using different methods of exercise and diet. Oleksandr would like the opportunity to begin your journey towards optimal health.

Oleksandr speaks fluent Ukrainian, Russian and English, and is able to help anyone who has difficulty with the English language.

What is Osteopathy?

Osteopathy is a manual medicine that focuses on total body by treating and strengthen the musculoskeletal framework, with includes the joints, muscles and spine. The goal is to positively affect the body’s nervous, circulatory and lymphatic systems. This therapy is a unique holistic approach to health care. Your Osteopath uses manual techniques to balance all the systems of the body, and promote complete body health by diagnosing and treating muscles, tendons and joints. The result is improvement to the circulatory, lymphatic and nervous systems.

Osteopathy helps decrease stress and minimize pain through manipulation and mobilization of joints, providing tactile pressure and loosening of soft tissues in affected areas.

Conditions commonly treated include: issues with the spine including neck and head. Postural issues. Digestive issues. Genito-urinary problems and myofacial pain.

Osteopathy for Children

The calm and soothing approach of osteopathy makes it especially suitable for children, including infants. Structural problems, affecting the proper mobility and function, can be assisted or corrected. Also respiratory, postural, brain development, and issues with infections such as ear, throat or urinary tract.

Types of Osteopathy

Visceral Osteopathy

Visceral Osteopathy helps to normalize the function of internal organs without the use of drugs. It is a treatment of diseases and dysfunctions of internal organs. The goal aims to improve blood flow to organs and tissues, stimulate lymph circulation, improve digestion, normalize function of the gastrointestinal tract, improve metabolism, and resolve gynecological problems. Visceral Osteopathy is commonly used for: prolapsed organs, heart disease, gynecological problems, gallbladder or liver problems; spinal issues, and more.

Pediatric Osteopathy

Pediatric osteopathy is for the treatment of children and newborns. Premature babies can benefit from paediatric osteopathy. Sometimes babies are born with defective brain structure. On occasion of overlapped bones in the skull from childbirth, stress and pain can be relieved. It is also effective for ear infection, sleeplessness, epilepsy and tooth pain.

Cranial-Sacral Osteopathy

Usually employs very light touch technique. It is not performed specifically to cure disease. It enhances the body’s ability to cure itself. The beneifts of cranio-sacral Osteopathy is believed to maintain mental balance, to correct posture, and treat spinal defects.

This is the treatment of cranial and sacral region of your central nervous system. Commonly for treating spinal, brain or back injury. Cranial Osteopathy enhaces cranial conditions by using gentle touch. It is a very smooth, relaxing and painless procedure. Suitable for all age groups, it is found to be very useful for asthma, cerebral palsy, headaches, colic disease, and much more.
